Lipan TX Real Estate, Lipan Area and Community Information

Lipan History

Lipan TX Real Estate is named after the Lipan Apache Indians. This was home to many tribes such as the Apache, Wichita, and Comanche. They thrived on the many forms of game found here. There were also creeks and woods to help provide for them and their families.

In 1853, George and Sam Allen settled on real estate in Lipan. They were the first white settlers in Lipan, but it was Irishman Thomas Allen Burn who laid out the township in 1873. He later founded the town of Lipan.

Many men throughout the years played important roles in the development of Lipan Properties. At Lipan Texas History you can find the individual stories of Thomas Allen Burn, George Allen, and Sam Allen as well as many others involved in Lipan’s history.
